Tas Halkos attends Yooralla’s Pascoe Vale First Base. In 2009 he participated in art classes at First Base run by Adrian Harris and Antoinette Santoro. He made many artworks during this time including the 2 works shown here. The painting was made with string and acrylic paint and the textile piece was made using paint and dye and was sewn onto a large tie dyed piece of fabric with other works. The piece hangs in front of a window to give it a translucent glow.
Tas Halkos’s paintng was the recipient of one of the main prize awards at the 2009 Yooralla Showcasing Ability art show.
